| For
the 11th year, the Riverfest Car Show is hosted by the Southern
Delaware Street Rod Association. Started in 1989, the club today
is over 100 members strong. The club’s major event is its Jamboree
held the last week in June each year. Monies collected from the
Jamboree’s spectator admissions and participant fees have allowed
this non-profit organization to contribute tens of thousands of
dollars to local charitable organizations over the years. Last
year, they presented donations to 3 different local charities at
the show on Saturday night totaling $15,000 and are proud to have
donated over $100,000 to charities to date.
