For the fourth year,
the Downtown Seaford Association invites all members
to participate in a Riverfest inspired decorating
contest. All entries must be consistent with this
year’s theme, “Sweet 16 on the Nanticoke.”
Decorations may be internal or external, but must be
seen from outside. Judging will take place on July 6
or 7, weather permitting, by Seaford Mayor and
Council or their appointees.
The winner will
receive a traveling plaque to be displayed in their
business for one year before being awarded again at
the 2011 Riverfest. Each year, the winning
businesses name will be engraved on the plaque.

Association members may register by July 5 at
Fantasy Beauty Salon on High Street. For a complete

RULES
- Open to members
of all Downtown Seaford Association. Business
location for judging must be in Downtown
Seaford.
- The decorations
are to be in keeping with the theme of the
Riverfest. For 2010, the Riverfest
theme is “Sweet Sixteen on the Nanticoke.”
- Decorations can
be on exterior or interior, just so long as they
are visible from the outside.
- The judges will
select one winning display based upon creativity
and overall appearance.
- judges are to
be the Mayor and City Council Members, or their
appointee.
- Entry forms
must be submitted to Fantasy Beauty Salon by
July 3, 2010.
- Businesses may
be decorated anytime prior to July 7th.
- Judging to take
place on July 7th or July 8th, weather
permitting.
- The prize will
be a plaque, which will be placed at the
winner’s business for one year. At each
subsequent Riverfest, the plaque will be placed
at the new winner’s business. Each year the name
of the winner will be engraved on the plaque.
- Winner to be
announced the day of judging, and pictures of
the winner will be taken for release in the
following week’s newspaper. Winner agrees to
allow their pictures and story to be used for
any publications and/or promotional purposes.
