Rotary Dunkin Booth
Saturday, July 9th
The local chapter of Rotary International is proud to sponsor a dunking booth at the annual Seaford Riverfest. The proceeds from the booth are used to help support our two Rotary Houses. In addition it gives the community an opportunity to dunk several of our local politicians and community leaders. We encourage you to come out and try your hand at dunking.

Confirmed participants in this year’s dunking booth include Seaford City Councilman Bill Bennett, Nanticoke Hospital CEO, Steve Rose, Methodist Manor House, Jonathan Souder, Donn’s Hair Alternative, Donn Tyndall and Aubrey Pitula. Stop by the booth periodically through the day to see who else will make their appearance in the dunking booth.

In 1990, the Rotary club built our first transitional shelter. Through many fund raising events and volunteer hours, the Rotary club purchased land and built the houses debt free. The rotary club maintains both buildings, and provides rent free accommodations for up to three months while Social Services works with them to re-establish self-sufficiency, including a savings program. We are honored to provide this much needed services to our community!

Would you like to be a Part of the Nanticoke Riverfest 2012?
The Riverfest committee is seeking volunteers to help with the event before, during and after the festivities. Specific duties include helping with the children’s programs, setting-up and taking-down equipment, to work the information booths, serving on the trash crew and in many other capacities. Many positions are available depending on your abilities and time constraints. Contact the Nanticoke Riverfest for more details.

This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
