From 27 cars in 1998 to 101 cars in 2014; and although just over 50 cars due to rain in 2015, the Riverfest Car Show has grown to be an important part of the annual festival. With show sponsorship covering most of the costs, registration fees go to the Nanticoke Riverfest to help grow the festival.

This year we would like to welcome back I.G. Burton of Seaford as our Major sponsor for the Car Show as the Burton Family has been a long time member of the Seaford area. Charlie Burton, 5th generation car dealer, acquired the dealership after long time owner John Burton’s passing. He has done a great job in honoring his Uncle following in his footsteps of running the dealership and becoming a Rotarian with the Nanticoke Rotary Club living their motto of "Service above Self”.

We found that moving the car show to the west end of High Street made it easier to enter and exit for the cars and we had several new participants along with many returning entry’s which was great to see. With a lot of new door prizes and 50/50 to be drawn again this year we hope to see everyone return along with new faces and friends to meet.

We would also like to thank Merel M. Cleeton, of the Historical Vintage Car Club of Delaware for his help last year in judging the car show and helping to decide the incredible winners of 2015. We look forward to seeing everyone and their spectacular Stock, Vintage, Classic, and Hot Rod vehicles again this year for another Fantastic show.

"I would be remiss if I did not thank the many volunteers that it takes to make this show happen each year along with the businesses and people who donate the door prizes that are presented, without you we would not be the show were are today”, said Chairperson Deena Yale.

Come join us for a day of fun filled activities for all to enjoy, see you there.
